About The Coach
Hi everyone! I am Sara Alali, a café owner and a coffee educator based in Saudi Arabia. Around 2015, I attended my first coffee training session, and while standing behind an espresso machine, I realized this – coffee has its own charm! It was, as I reminisce, a moment of awe and fascination. Ever since, it’s been my ambition to improve and develop coffee practice locally and worldwide.
While running my pop-up coffee shop (THAT) I became a certified SCA trainer for the brewing and barista skills programs. In addition, I have served as a national judge for both Barista and Latte art competitions including regional judge for Gahwah competition in the middle east.
In 2017, I achieved 2nd place at the MENA Cezve/Ibrik Championship. In the same year I came 6th place in the WCIC. This was the first time someone from my country had qualified for the final round of a World Coffee Events competition. I am also very proud to be the first female Q-grader in Saudi Arabia.
As a trainer and cafe owner with expertise in a wide range of brewing methods, I offer personalized training sessions for individuals or groups seeking professional brewing advice. I provide my students with the necessary tools to pursue a career within the speciality coffee field. I focus on workflow, efficiency, and customer service skills. My trainings are designed to optimize customer experience, and show you how to kick start a coffee shop.
Outside of coffee, you will find me traveling, discovering and learning about different cultures, baking, reading and recently learning more about marketing.
I am currently based in Riyadh and have been providing training services in different cities within Saudi Arabia and in the MENA region.
