This way, by the time they arrive in your training room, they have covered all the important but obvious things like part-names and health and safety concerns. We’ve also included comprehension tests and practical score sheets that you can use to gauge what your client’s strengths and weaknesses are before they even arrive for a training session. We hope that will free you up to train your customers, clients, and staff on only the things they aren’t good at.

Here’s what’s included in the Wholesale Training Team:

Barista One

This is a course for learning and testing best practice behind the bar. There are 58 Lessons, 21 videos, 18 gifs and 8 challenging assessments plus some very handy takeaways which you can download. These include the new BH Baseline Testing scoresheet, a guide for Mis En Place and two lengthy troubleshooting Guides.

Percolation

Percolation brew methods allow us to produce our most velvety and clarified brews which is what makes this style of coffee beverage, the most thirst quenching and delicious of them them all. The Percolation course is an exploration of the art and science of gravity fed, drip coffee in all is guises.

Immersion

Immersion is an online coffee course that explores the best techniques and recipes for immersion brew methods. This online course is Part Two in our series about brewed coffee, and follows on from the Percolation course. We look at everything, from French press, Aeropress, syphon coffee, cold brew, and Ibrik — just to name a few.

What happens after I buy the course?

After purchase, you will gain a membership on this website granting you control of a 100-person team.

Are the courses online?
Yes, the courses are 100% online! All you need is a computer or mobile device and an internet connection. You don’t need to be in Australia to take the course.

How long does it take to complete the course?
Each of these course will take maximum 20 hours if you include text, video explanations, assessments, and at-home experiments.

How hard are the courses?
The course includes many technical elements but was written with new baristas in mind. The videos dive into more difficult concepts and explain them further. The comprehension tests at the end of each chapter will also help you to apply these concepts to everyday coffee making.

What if I have questions?

What is the certification process?
Learners need to complete each lesson and comprehension test, then pass the final assessment (70% or higher) to achieve certification. Proof of certification will be located on the BH site. Certificates can be downloaded in print resolution.

Can I share the course with my friends?
Each user will have to pay for their own access to the course. We reserve the right to limit the number of IP addresses that access the course for each account and revoke access.

Is there live tutoring or webinars available?
In our efforts to make this course affordable and accessible to all Baristas, we’ve opted to make the content always accessible and non-interactive.

How long do I have access?
You have access to these learning materials for as long as your monthly subscription remains active.

Can learners retake the tests if they don’t pass?
You have unlimited resits on the test.

What’s the refund policy?
If you’re not happy with the courses, we’ll give you a full refund. Simple.

Do learners need an espresso machine, refractometer, or any other special equipment?
No. We’ve designed this course to help everyone that works with espresso-based coffee drinks, regardless of their equipment. Practicing the manoeuvres and designs required for latte art may prove difficult without access to a machine, however.

Is it suitable for beginner-level home or service baristas?
If you can hold a cupping spoon — this course if for you.
